Vanguard Pharma’s Vanguard Cares initiative is dedicated to helping and supporting those in our communities most in need. With the COVID pandemic continuing to ravage the world, Vanguard stepped up to donate critical PPE supplies like masks, sanitizer and wipes to organizations in the New Jersey area that aid vulnerable populations.

Catholic Charities, Diocese of Paterson, an organization that provides an array of services to those in need ranging from food assistance to education programs, received several loads of assorted PPE supplies from Vanguard at the organization’s Paterson NJ location. The masks, wipes, sanitizer, gowns, thermometers and other items were distributed to people in need throughout Paterson and the surrounding area.
Catholic Charities said in a statement: "We are in awe of this tremendous donation. Over the last few days, Vanguard Pharma, has contributed 200,000 packs of WetOnes HandWipes to be given out at our food pantries. This is in addition to a forthcoming, and large contribution of PPE to be used across our organization. These contributions will make a huge difference as we continue to persevere forward through COVID-19. Thank you again to Vanguard and all who support our important ministry!”

Another organization Vanguard assisted with PPE donations is The Little Sisters of the Poor’s St. Joseph’s Home for the Elderly in Totowa NJ. Providing PPE items such as masks, face shields, gloves and disinfectants, the facility was able to protect both its residents and its staff during the ongoing pandemic.
Sister Mary Thomas, who runs the organization, said in a statement, "This wonderful gift of PPE will help to keep our Staff, Little Sisters and most importantly, our Residents, safe. By your gift,
you have saved us many thousands of dollars which we would have had to spend on PPE, funds that can now be used to purchase food and other supplies for which we are dependent.”
Kevin Danylchuk, president and general manager of Vanguard Pharma, said, “We are thrilled to be able to assist these amazing organizations that day in and day out care for those in our communities most in need. We are glad that our donations serve to both protect people from the COVID virus and to also allow these organizations to use their resources on other needs rather than sourcing costly PPE.”
